HOW IT WORKS
Meet the Founder
Coco Crisp
Coco Crisp played 15 years in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 2002 to 2016. He was drafted as a shortstop by the St. Louis Cardinals in 1999 and was awarded the Cardinals' Minor League Player of the Year in 2001 after transitioning to the outfield. After playing three years in the minors, Crisp was promoted to the Cleveland Guardians (then known as the Cleveland Indians) in 2002. He played for the Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox, Kansas City Royals, and Oakland Athletics. While primarily a center fielder throughout his career, Crisp also played left field for the Athletics and during his time with the Indians. He won the 2007 World Series with the Red Sox, defeating the Colorado Rockies.
After retiring, Crisp coached varsity baseball at Shadow Hills High School for two years (2017-18) and served as a color analyst for the Oakland Athletics in 2019. He then worked as an assistant coach at Cerritos College from 2020 to 2023 and managed the Mahoning Valley Scrappers of the MLB Draft League in 2021. In 2022, Crisp became the outfield, base running, and bunting coordinator for the Washington Nationals, a role he held for two years.
